Centralizing the vacuum source in your factory and operating it with an inverter system can help achieve energy savings
Are you placing (or adding) small vacuum pumps at each location in your factory where vacuum is needed? In such cases, each pump typically runs at full capacity regardless of the actual load, becoming increasingly inefficient as the number of pumps increases. Additionally, scattered pumps often make it difficult to manage maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a unified manner, leading to unclear operational conditions.
Many factories have centralized compressed air supply systems (e.g., compressor rooms). By applying the same concept to vacuum systems and centralizing the vacuum source (central vacuum system), coupled with inverter control, you can eliminate these inefficiencies and reduce maintenance efforts.
☆By replacing the scattered small fixed-speed vacuum pumps in your factory, which are each used to individual pieces of equipment, energy savings can be achieved.
Orion Machinery's KCE series uses a unique vane-less rotor (claw-type), which is highly efficient and allows for a larger capacity with a smaller motor.
☆The diagram above shows the changes in the factory's vacuum load throughout the day. While usage decreases during lunch breaks and at night, existing constant-speed systems consume full power continuously. In contrast, the KCE series can supply only the necessary amount of vacuum based on the current load conditions, allowing for significant energy savings. (The orange areas represent the portions where energy savings can be achieved.)
