In factories worldwide, “cooling water” is used in various fields.
In manufacturing processes, it is necessary to cool and manage the heat-generating parts of equipment used in production (e.g., welding machines, laser processing machines, high-frequency induction heating devices, thermostatic chambers, etc.).
Additionally, large-capacity cooling water supply circulation systems are required for air conditioning in factories and buildings.
Commonly used for these purposes are “chillers” and “cooling towers.”
In Thailand, as in Japan, “cooling towers” are widely used as a source of cooling water.
However, in Thailand’s year-round hot and humid climate, cooling tower water temperatures often do not drop sufficiently, leading to problems.
For example, when cooling water below 25°C is required for manufacturing processes, it is difficult to achieve this with cooling towers, especially during the hot season (March to May in Thailand).
(The principle of cooling towers is to lower the water temperature by evaporative cooling when strong winds are applied to the water. However, if the return water temperature to the cooling tower is the same as the wet-bulb temperature, the water temperature cannot drop below that wet-bulb temperature. For example, in April in Bangkok, the highest temperature is 35°C, and with an average humidity of 72%, the wet-bulb temperature is calculated to be 30.45°C. In this case, the water temperature from the cooling tower cannot theoretically drop below 30.45°C.)
Additionally, from a water quality perspective, cooling towers tend to have problems.
In Thailand’s year-round hot and humid climate, algae, amoebas, and bacteria (Legionella) are prone to occur, requiring strict water quality management.
(Neglecting regular chemical treatments can lead to water quality deterioration, causing blockages or rust in the cooling water circuits within the equipment.)

Rising Water Temperature:
---During the summer, it becomes more difficult for the temperature to drop.
Water Evaporation & Concentration:
---As water evaporates, the components and impurities in the water become more concentrated, leading to water quality problems (scale, algae and bacteria) and potential issues such as pipe rust and blockage
↓
You can resolve these issues by replacing it with a chiller.
A chiller can circulate chilled water at a constant temperature and flow rate to the target equipment. Additionally, since the chilled water circulates in a 'closed-loop system' where it is not exposed to the atmosphere, the water quality is less likely to be affected. ☝ “Chiller” can supply stable cooling water (in terms of temperature and water quality) throughout the year in Thailand .
From small sized air-cooled models of 0.5HP to large screw models of over 200HP (water-cooled and air-cooled), we can propose various chiller systems to suit your budget, from high-performance, high-spec Japanese top brands to affordable local products.
We can propose systems tailored to your needs and environment, from “stand-alone systems” used one-to-one with your equipment to “integration systems” that centrally manage the cold water source.
